After watching The Mandalorian I realized that just seeing a lightsaber could make me excited. So it got me on a kick watching "behind the scenes" of Star Wars movies. The train of thought that followed me afterwards led me to recognize some things about the psychology of the the lightsaber and why it became so iconic and memorable. Is it possible that George Lucas knew the psychological effect that the lightsaber would have on a generation of fans?

Let me know if I forgot anything down in the comments! While Star War has taken a hit as far as popularity in the more recent years, I'm curious to see the future of the franchise.
