I went to see the new direct Shinkansen "Komachi", also called "Mini Shinkansen", on the JR East Akita Shinkansen Tazawako Line!
The "KOMACHI" started operation in March 1997 as the second train of the Mini-Shinkansen system, following the "TSUBASA" of the Yamagata Shinkansen. It connects Tokyo and Akita Prefectures.
On the Tohoku Shinkansen section, it is operated in combination with the "Hayabusa" and can be seen augmented and dismounted at Morioka Station. Currently, all E6 Series trains are in use.
We also introduce you to the famous gate-type level crossing, the Echizen level crossing, and more! We were also impressed by Akita's unique natural location.
We were so excited by the power of the Shinkansen passing through the railroad crossing! This time, the channel staff filmed for about a week!
