MOVIE SUMMARY -
In 1980s Punjab, a newly wed bride, Rani decides to shatter an age-old tradition wherein women were not allowed to accompany the baraats. She faces resistance from the menfolk but does not back off. Instead of openly defying them, she hatches a sly plan to take all village women in the baraat and is helped by her husband, Bagga. To force her plan, she uses her younger sister, Nimmo to bait the village men into allowing the women as baraatis by marrying her off to her brother-in-law Pinta. Though the men are vehemently against this, eventually they all give in seeing the happiness that the women have brought to the baraat.
