Mine was a 2 hour house boat experience and it costed me Rs.2500. This was also the time when the boating race in kerala was about to happen so may be i might be charged slightly more, because it was difficult to find a houseboat that day.

Alleppey or Allappuzha is known as the venetian capital of Kerala and very rightly so! You can cruise along the beautiful backwaters and it is such a refreshing experience. Whenever you plan a trip to Kerala, definitely keep a houseboat experience in your itinerary. It is absolutely worth.

In this video I show you around my houseboat. And it is a 2 hour ride. But even if it was an overnights stay in a houseboat or a day to night tour, you would have a similar feel.
