Ashok Leyland has broadened the light commercial vehicle portfolio by introducing an all-new LCV truck- Bada Dost. This is a higher payload variant of its popular Dost range; however, it is based on a completely new platform. Bada Dost- takes on key rivals such as Mahindra Bolero and Tata Intra and Eicher Pro 2049, among others.

Bada Dost is available in two variants i4- 1860 kg and i3-1400 kg of payloads-both full side deck body options. Equipped with Ashok Leyland 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel engine, which is turbocharged intercooled with lean NOx trap technology. The power figure is 80hp at a peak torque of 190 Nm, tuned to a fully synchronized,5-speed, manual gearbox with a cable shift mechanism with PTO provision.

Pickup: Bada Dost promises superior pickup and is suitable for stop-start heavy traffic conditions and also capable of an uphill climb, steep roads & terrains. Tyre: The bigger size tubeless tyre in 7.00 R15 LT –12PR size ensures greater road grip always and travels effortlessly through challenging terrains and all weather conditions.

Suspension: Bada Dost is fitted with 3-parabolic leaf springs in the front for higher comfort and at rear 3-main + 3 helper semi-elliptical leaf springs to carry any cargo effortlessly.

Load Body: The load body is length x width x height is 9 ft 8 in x 5 ft 9 in x 1 ft 7 in the full side deck body, the loading platform height is 3.1 ft. Bada Dost is available in standard cabin and chassis bodies, and customized bodies such as high side, container, reefer, refuse collection options.

Comfort Features: Some of the comfort features include a spacious, elegant certified 3-seater, walkthrough cabin, ergonomically designed dash-mounted gear and controls, a comfortable drive with power steering & factory-fitted AC, large windscreen with panoramic view and low turning circle radius. Bada Dost is a premium truck with many segment-leading features and performance elements along with an aesthetically appealing look.
