This video explains the conventions, or rules, we use at South Valley Jr. High to count and clap notes and rests. While there are other accepted methods for counting and clapping music, these are the standard numerical conventions. It is necessary to understand these conventions before continuing with the rest of the video series. I wish I spent some time making it more fun and less dry, but it gets the job done.
