Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 contains most elegant GNU/Linux desktop environment to date. Here I show you what is new in this release of Linux operating system.

Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 was an official flavor of Ubuntu Linux that featured the GNOME desktop environment as its default graphical user interface. Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 shipped with GNOME Shell, the default desktop environment for the GNOME project. GNOME Shell offers a modern and intuitive user interface characterized by its Activities Overview, dynamic workspaces, and application launching capabilities. Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 included a selection of GNOME applications for various tasks such as web browsing, email, office productivity, multimedia playback, and system utilities. Some of the default applications included GNOME Web (Epiphany) for web browsing, Evolution for email and calendar management, LibreOffice for office productivity, and Rhythmbox for music playback. The system requirements for Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 were similar to those of other modern Linux distributions. It could run on a wide range of hardware configurations, from older machines to newer systems, although higher system specifications were recommended for smoother performance, especially when running resource-intensive applications or using advanced desktop effects.
