Carnotaurus was a large, carnivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 72 to 69 million years ago. Its name means "meat-eating bull" due to its distinctive bull-like horns above its eyes.

Carnotaurus was a fast and agile predator, with long legs and a streamlined body. It had small, vestigial arms with only two fingers, which were likely used to grasp prey. Its skull was short and deep, with a powerful bite force and sharp teeth.

One of the most unique features of Carnotaurus was its highly reduced forearm bones, which were only about a quarter of the length of its upper arm bones. This unusual adaptation may have allowed Carnotaurus to swing its head more quickly and powerfully during attacks.

Fossils of Carnotaurus have been found in Argentina, and they have provided valuable insights into the biology and behavior of this fascinating dinosaur. Despite its fearsome appearance, Carnotaurus likely had a very limited range of vision due to the position of its eyes on the sides of its skull.

Today, Carnotaurus remains a popular subject of study among paleontologists and a favorite among dinosaur enthusiasts.
