Today we take a look at the very controversial Spider-Man Lotus. Lotus is a fan made film from first (and hopefully last time director) Gavin J. Konop.

The film was 100% crowd funded on Indigogo. It managed to raise over 100 thousand dollars, an impressive number for such young filmmakers.

There was a lot of hype around Lotus. Many people wanted to see Spider_man through the eyes of actual fans. All of the love and praise for this project vanished when some controversial and racially charged messages between the director and the crew were leaked.

The rest as they say...is history.
