This webinar is designed to get you feeling comfortable with creating a proficiency mindset in your world language classroom. The presenter will discuss strategies for introducing students to the three modes of communication and familiarizing them with what they are expected to be able to do in each mode at their proficiency level and beyond. She will demonstrate how to reinforce the proficiency mindset by consistently applying common, standards-aligned rubrics to each performance task. The presenter will share examples of these rubrics with informal and formal performance tasks. With a proficiency mindset, your students will go from asking, “Is this a 100%?” to “Is this Intermediate Low?”
