Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn describes the circumstances surrounding a morning officer involved shooting in downtown Milwaukee.

Shortly after 7 a.m., Monday November 11th, Milwaukee Police officers confronted a suspect armed with a semi-automatic handgun at the Milwaukee County Transit Center located at 909 E. Michigan. The officers repeatedly demanded that he drop the weapon. Ignoring the officers' demands, the suspect engaged in threatening behavior with the pistol and was shot by the officers. He died at the scene. The suspect is believed to be responsible for an attempted armed robbery in the same area earlier in the morning.
