محبت کیا ہے ؟ دل کا درد سے معمور ہو جانا
متاع جاں کسی کو سونپ کر مجبور ہو جانا
قدم حیراں ہیں الفت میں تو منزل کی حوس کیسی
یہاں تو عین منزل ہے تھکن سے چور ہوجانا
یہاں تو سر سے پہلے دل کا سودا شرط ہے یارو
کوئی آسان ہے کیا سرمد و منصور ہو جانا
ہماری بادہ نوشی پر فرشتے رشک کرتے ہیں
کسی کے سنگ در کو چومنا مخمور ہوجانا
بسا لینا کسی کو دل میں دل ہی کا کلیجہ ہے
پہاڑوں کو تو بس آتا ہے جل کر طور ہو جانا
نظر سے دور رہ کر بھی تقی وہ پاس ہے میرے
کہ میری عاشقی کو ننگ ہے مہجور ہو جانا
What is Love? (it is) heart being filled with pain.
to become helpless by entrusting the essence of your soul to someone.
if you feet are on the path of love, then why desire the destination?
here, the destination itself is to become exhausted on that path.
to sacrifice your heart before your life is the condition here, friends.
for is it easy at all, to be hanged like mansoor?
the angels envy our inebriation.
to kiss someone's threshold and to become intoxicated.
to let someone live in your heart is something a heart alone is capable of.
mountain only know how to crumble to ashes [in the face of love].
