Metaphor: ReFantazio is a 2024 role-playing video game developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus. It is the first original game from Studio Zero since its formation in 2016 by Persona series director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on October 11, 2024, in commemoration of Atlus' 35th anniversary.

The game explores the themes of ideal and reality and takes place in a medieval fantasy world that is the "mirror" of the contemporary real world, following a non-silent protagonist who sets out on a journey to protect his kingdom while overcoming obstacles and forging bonds with companions he meets along the way.

Metaphor: ReFantazio takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, which is set in a medieval fantasy realm that acts as a "mirror" to the modern real world. The assassination of its King sparks chaos and unrest throughout the kingdom, while also invoking a unique form of magic only previously known to the King, known as the Royal Magic. These events end up setting the stage for a tournament to be held across the world in order to decide the throne's successor. The main protagonist is a boy of the Elda tribe who has been ostracized by wider society for being "tainted" with the inheritance of forbidden magic and is often subject to discrimination and prejudice as a result. He is to embark on a quest to lift a curse placed on his childhood friend, the crown prince of Euchronia whom the kingdom believes was assassinated over ten years ago. Throughout the journey, he will be accompanied by a fairy companion named Gallica, whose immense knowledge and ability to sense magic aids him on the path ahead.
