Manang, the land of yaks and snow leopards

The Manang region of Nepal is home to Yak and Snow Leopard. Surrounded by numerous world's highest mountain peaks, the inhabitants of this region keep the yaks at home mainly for milk and meat. Yak meat and milk are very effective to save them from severe winters, as they help keep the body warm. Snow leopards do not usually attack adult yaks, but they often attack at night to carry off young ones.
