CEPT University is set to get a new library building. Named Lilavati Lalbhai Library and designed by CEPT alumnus and known architect Rahul Mehrotra, a professional who is seen as meaningfully engaged with contemporary architectural challenges. The library will have capacity for 1 lakh books which will be housed in three floors below ground and two above to match height of other buildings on the campus.

The library is expected to be built at a cost of Rs 10 crore, of which Rs 6 crore will be contributed from the Ben Lilavati Lalbhai Trust by Sanjay Lalbhai, Chairman, CEPT University. The library will be a significant presence on the campus and provide a modern identity to it. It will align with the existing buildings with modulation of sectional levels into and above the ground, has honest material selection and expression. It respects the continuum of existing architectural expression that has defined CEPT University for decades.
