We love when we can start making regular trips up to our ranch in the springtime for some good ol' archery hog hunting. After a winter spent hunting waterfowl our bow hunting bone is itching to get after some wild game, and wild boar are the perfect target. This year we had a fantastic season with a ton of encounters. We had so many run ins with wild pigs that we couldn't even fit all of them in this video (but maybe we'll do some shorter ones if you guys want to see them, let us know!). For all the usual reasons you would expect with bow hunting, and trying to make a hunting video, however, despite all of the sightings, stalks and close calls it took us until June to get one on the ground. Hogs are a wary animal and this year they were a bit tough to pattern and get on. Thankfully, we love hog hunting, so we get out there as much as we can, and our patience and persistence paid off with an awesome success story (and a fantastic stalk to preclude the kill as well).
