I ran the lathe for this turning without using a generator. Surprisingly the lathe ran like a champ. I am convinced the Nova Comet will serve me well for many years to come.
Well the first piece of Mangrove has hit the lathe with lots of limitations but the lathe power was not one of them.
I actually wished for less voids in the wood LOL
I had 2 obsticles in the way.
1: The wood would not behave because of the voids and soft spots.
2: The choice I made for this piece was not forgiving I could have chosen a much simpler design for this wood.

You'll have to see how the shop gets setup. where do I get my wood and what do I create with a small lathe and minimal tools.
