He takes us through the development work that’s been put in to make the Altroz racer a driver’s car, how it compares with the Hyundai i20 N Line and Maruti Suzuki Fronx and we also discuss how this hatch performs on the road. Narian has given inputs that have led to a new tune for the engine, suspension and steering in the Racer. There’s also a hydraulic clutch and a sportier exhaust note. The Tata Altroz racer is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol that makes 120PS and 170 Nm, paired with a six-speed manual. The Tata Altroz Racer is available in three variants with prices ranging from Rs 9.49 lakh to Rs 10.99 lakh.
