Illusions

The moon is pouring down her tears on mother Earth 
Over stacked lies we claim we never did intended
Trying to avoid we say this for what it's worth
But she knows all along we steadily pretended

The salt turned lush and fertile to baran, dried out land
Earth believed for too long that we must still be smart
And that she could softly change us with a loving reprimand
Always seeing the light even in the darkest heart

What have we done to the nurturing energy 
The hand that fed us with her forgiving humility 
Pissed all over nature's accepting sovereignty
All because of pride, greed, arrogance and vanity

No justice for these words, a waste of letters
Like the mustard served after every homecooked dish
A hope of when we know better, we do better 
Turned out to be a fleeting and idle wish
