Knit a halterneck summer top with me. This is a tutorial on how to knit the Samantha top. The Samantha top is a halter neck top knitted seamlessly from the top down using traditional stockinette stitch. You’ll begin with a provisional cast on. The back and front sections are worked separately until reaching the armholes, incorporating side i-cords at the start and end of each row.

After this, the pieces are joined, and the body is knitted in the round.

To finish the garment, you have the option of either a double folded hem or a regular cast-off.

The top edges of both the front and back panels are also finished with an i-cord, which transitions into the straps by using the kitchener stitch.
