In this video, I demonstrate how I do my three most worn every day Victorian hairstyles.
The first one is a simple mid Victorian hairstyle, a braided bun with an option to either place the hair over the ears or behind the ears.
The second look is one of my favourite historical hairstyles, a mid Victorian updo that features braided pieces at the front that then drape into a braided bun in the back.
The final look is a braided crown, which you saw throughout the Renaissance Revival period (1880s hairstyle).
I do not consider myself someone that is good at doing hair, but with quite a lot of practice, I've managed to complete these looks and get results I'm happy with.
If you'd like to make your own flax hair gel (it's amazing stuff) @KatherineSewing has a great recipe featured in a Short: • DIY Flaxseed HAIR GEL!
Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you all in 2 weeks for another video.
