The Great Movie Ride operated from May 1st, 1989 to August 13th, 2017. The ride closed to make way for a new ride based on Mickey Mouse, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway described as being "2 and  1⁄2 D" and will include more Hidden Mickeys than any previous ride.
