Music: Königsmarsch (Royal march) by Richard Strauss [o.Op. (TrV 217, AV 100)]

This masterpiece of German military music was composed in 1905-06. The march premiered at a palace concert in Berlin in 1907. Strauss was the conductor. Koenigsmarsch is dedicated to German emperor and prussian King Wilhelm II who presented Strauss with a citizenship award during the concert.
