Another of the new 'Basic Skills' family of short videos, Here I'm showing how to wire up a UK type 7 pin round trailer lighting plug.
These plugs often get damaged or the terminals corrode requiring its replacement.
This short video shows you a few tips and tricks on how to do a tidy job, and also which circuit each of the coloured wires relates to - this helps with diagnostics too should you have a lighting fault.
Paying a garage to change one of these plugs is expensive and really, not necessary, its an easy job and all you'll need is a screwdriver and something to strip back the wires - ideally a pair of side cutters..
These 'Basic Skills' videos are NOT meant to be a decisive, all encompassing, training video on teaching you all the various aspects of professional skills, no, not in the slightest!
Its a short video showing the basics giving you a starting point on how its done, the tools you need and a few tips along the way...
Any questions then please leave them in the comments section below and I'll do my best to get back to you asap...
