Twenty years ago Bob Clouser introduced me to the Clouser Darter, then a fly he was just experimenting with and later went into productions. It became a game changer for my smallmouth fishing. In the past twenty years it has saved many days from be skunk days. Tied similar to the Clouser Deep Minnow but with Kip Tail it is a short bulky fly that really produces. Plus it is a lot of fun to tie. If you happen to have a copy of Bob's book on Clouser Flies it list a number of different color patterns for the Darter for various baitfish species. I've even caught Bonefish on Tan version!! Tie some up, you'll be glad you did. - Enjoy
