Hi everyone! I have received many questions regarding sourcing items from China to complete your next build. In this post, I will explain two steps using floor tiles as an example.

STEP 1: Define Your Need

Establish the quantity — I recommend you gather the appropriate measurements of your schematic to make an estimate. However, I strongly advise you to order 10 - 20% more as a buffer against shipping errors, manufacture quality defects, and on-site workman mistakes. This extra quantity will ensure you are always prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.

Establish the quality—You must understand the tile material, color, and manufacturer trust rating (grading). I used a company that listed its posting on Alibaba.

STEP 2: Enroll with a shipping company

To receive your products in Ghana, you must make an account with a shipping partner.

The shipping partner must be located in Ghana and the source company must be located in China (source country). For example, company ZZ must be located in Ghana and China (source country).

This will allow you to accept bulk deliveries of items in Ghana. The shipper will pay customs duties, which will be passed along to you as a CBM cost.

If you would like to engage in a more personal conversation for your next build, I provide professional consulting services for a fee.

I am available to conduct thorough research and provide tailored product recommendations for your upcoming project. My initial recommendations are offered at a fixed rate. Should additional research be necessary following the initial recommendation, we can collaboratively determine the extent and schedule of any supplementary work.
