Marius Frommherz is a master carpenter, a true Black Forest native. And he has a heart for wood. His specialty is wooden shingles. "An old craft is booming again," says the 30-year-old from Kleines Wiesental.

Wooden shingles on the roof and as facade cladding give houses a particularly pleasant indoor climate, and his clientele appreciates that. The wood for his shingles comes from local forests. Fir, spruce and larch this is the ideal shingle wood. From the choice of wood to the production of shingles and roofing, everything is in his hands. Marius Frommherz is a master of both, shingle making by hand and also machine production.
For him, wooden shingles are a natural product that blends harmoniously into the Black Forest landscape. The spread of this technique is very close to his heart. He gives an insight into the traditional Black Forest craftsmanship.
