Shailendra Singh is the officer who booked Mukhtar Ansari under POTA in 2004. Due to political shelter to Mukhtar Ansari, he resigned from the post of Deputy SP in STF. He described how influential Mukhtar was and how the police were forced to not take action against mafias like Mukhtar.
