American professional eater Randy Santel versus Smoak BBQ's 5lb "Bucket" Burger Challenge hosted by Smoak BBQ in Rochester, Minnesota!! After attempting Big Boar's "Ultimate Platter" BBQ Challenge in West Salem, Wisconsin, I headed into Minnesota to begin a food challenge tour all around the state of Minnesota. I attempted 9 competitive eating Minnesota restaurant challenges during my trip. For challenge event #1 of nine, I headed to Smoak BBQ in Rochester, MN so I could attempt their 5lb "Bucket" Burger Challenge which has been attempted hundreds of times over the past few years it has been available. About 20 people have won the pay-to-play food challenge which costs $50 whether you win or lose. Only my friend ‪@JoelHansen‬ has completed TWO of the "Bucket" Burger Challenges consecutively back-to-back, each within the 30 minute time limit. In an attempt to make this video more exciting, I ordered two burger challenges as well, just to see if I could finish both like Joel did, but of course not as quickly. For the base challenge, there are two grilled cheese sandwiches, four hamburger patties, Pepper Jack and American cheeses, bacon strips, BBQ pulled pork, jalapeno cheddar sausages, SMOAK'd pastrami, fried cheese curds, and a fried Nashville hot chicken breast, all topped with two bacon-wrapped "Texas Twinkies" filled with smoked beef brisket and cream cheese. The "Bucket" Burger Challenge is served in a bucket with more than 1lb of Smoak BBQ's fries, and includes a bottle of Pepsi or Diet Pepsi. The meal costs $50 win or lose, but winners get a sweet t-shirt, a bottle of barbecue sauce, and a picture up on the Wall of Fame. No substitutions or modifications are allowed. My plan was to finish one challenge, reset the timer, and then start on the second burger.
