Nova Petrópolis is considered the garden of the Serra Gaúcha and is one of the most Germanic cities in the region.
Colonized by German immigrants, the Germanic influence is very present here, in the gastronomy, architecture, language, music and typical costumes. The city keeps alive the culture and customs left as an inheritance by its colonizers.

Just like Canela, Nova Petrópolis is a neighboring city of Gramado, it is only 34 km away and deserves a day in your itinerary.

Charming, romantic, full of flowers and well-preserved flower beds, the most famous and visited tourist spot is the square of flowers and the green labyrinth.
But other places have gained prominence, such as the beautiful and colorful city Zaandam, a replica of a Dutch city, a gastronomic center that brings together a restaurant, bar, beer garden, bakery, confectionery, ice cream parlor and emporium.

The city also has two very interesting breweries to visit, such as the Edelbrau brewery, which provides an interactive tour where you can produce your own beer, and the Traum brewery, which has a medieval, Viking-style decor and serves delicious snacks and snacks.

Finally, there's the eagles' nest park, a beautiful lookout with a gliding ramp.

And speaking of the lookout point, even before arriving in Nova Petrópolis, you can find the Parada da Torre lookout point and the Pedras do Silence Sculpture Park, which pays homage to German immigrants with several outdoor sculptures.

Another park that honors the founders of the city is the immigrant village park, a large green area with lakes, trails and a replica of several properties belonging to the first residents of Nova Petrópolis
