Not many are aware that one of the greatest and bloodiest battles of World War II was fought in a nondescript little village in Nagaland. The Kohima War Cemetery can be considered an example of how war is an equaliser; in that it does not discriminate in death. The cemetery stands as a dedication to both Indian and British soldiers that were killed during the Battle of Kohima.
