Cutting Southern Live Oak (Quercus Virginiana) for Mr.Robert's shop floor.

Live Oak looks similar to White Oak when cut. One distinguishing trait is irregularities in the grain of wood, swirls and waves. Live Oaks grows closely along the Southern coasts of the United States from Texas to Virginia. Due to it's extreme density for an Oak and hardness it has been used in wooden ship building for centuries. Most notably in the USS Constitution "Old Ironsides."
