Scientist Joseph Davidovich suggested that the Egyptians did not transport huge stones to build the pyramids, but rather cast stone blocks using a concrete-like mixture, or what is known as "artificial stone."
Davidovich believes that the Egyptians had advanced knowledge of chemistry, which allowed them to make very strong stone materials similar to limestone.
