Throughout 2023 there were several points where I caught Reading and Northern's RDCs on their Pottsville and Jim Thorpe excursions based out of Reading, PA. Specifically, I chased the RDCs on their Jim Thorpe run on September 9, 2023, on my way to Mahanoy City for Mahanoy City Community Day. With the length of the excursion being decreased in 2023 to accommodate for the more complex passenger schedule with the addition of Pittston trains, as well as maximize passenger time in Jim Thorpe, the RDCs traveled at track speed the majority of the trip, making them not the easiest to chase at times. Regardless, I still got some pretty good shots!

Additionally, on April 29, 2023, I caught the RDC excursion to Pottsville on its afternoon return to Reading at both Pottsville and Port Clinton. These were unique catches as RDC 9167 traveled solo, which is not a common sight as the RDCs tend to travel as pairs or triplets.
