Daisy is missing her front 14 teeth. Yes, 14! And she still can eat normally with her back ones, as well as clean herself using the side of her mouth. However...
She can't bite during playtime very effectively. Oof.

Daisy had them removed at 3 years old (she's 8 now) due to a condition called 'stomatitis'.
The condition is usually seen in older cats, especially with bad oral hygiene, but can also be from genetics (albeit it's uncommon).
She has amazing oral health now with 100% remission in her condition since the operation. We get her checked bi-yearly for any signs of stomatitis. The vets have all told us teeth removal is the best, most effective way to deal with the condition and thus, that it shouldn't come back.

So no worries, her life is completely normal!

We would love if you would donate to the organizations we adopted them from! We're not affiliated, just very thankful.
