Here I show how I skin ducks. This one was still a bit frozen so it was slow going at first, but it eventually loosened up enough to get the job done. I remove the legs on all my ducks and inject with Masters Blend and paint before putting the bird back together. I also use reproduction bills on all my ducks and paint them ahead of time as well. The key to a good head on a duck is to make sure you use a very sharp scalpel whey removing the head and use a quality reproduction head. I use heads from Cory Caruthers at Matuska Taxidermy Supply.
