Up until recently, there was almost no proof that this English dub of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (my favorite film of all time) even existed. Now we can see it and hear it for ourselves! I found these clips from Remi Carémel's "In the shadow of the studios" (which I will link below) I found out about this from a video by Zelcher Productions on the lost Young Girls of Rochefort English dub. An incredible video I will also link below. I’m hopeful one day the full dub will make its way back to us. As well as The Young Girls of Rochefort dub. Until then enjoy this piece of history surrounding this amazing film. Spread the word. Let it be known we don’t want Demy’s work to be lost to time ☔️
