Episode 3: The 12 Days of Loneliness

This episode discusses the 12 days Amani spent in hospital alone after her collapse at home. Due to covid restrictions, Amani wasn't allowed any visitors apart from a one hour visit from her parents the day before she was moved to a hospital over 35 miles away from home. During these 12 days Amani had repeated CT scans, MRI scans, ECG procedures all without someone by her side. But even worse she had to have difficult conversations with doctors about her diagnosis without anyone by her side to help her process and understand it all. Amani even had to undergo brain surgery alone.

In this episode we paired up with CLIC Sargent to promote theirs and Teenage Cancer Trust #Hand2Hold Campaign to urge the Government to allow young people to have someone by their side through cancer diagnoses, surgical procedures and treatments.
