Hello everyone! Today I’m covering part three of how to fix (or what to try) when your sewing machine tension isn’t working as well as you would like and you are having thread tension problems. Guest stars today are my Singer 328k, Singer 301 and Singer Touch N Sew 626 machines, but these principles should apply to just about any home sewing machine out there. Is your bobbin thread loose when sewing? Follow along to fix it!

0:00 - Intro
00:12 - Go watch part 1!
00:14 - Go watch part 2!
00:21 - Do you have the right bobbin for your machine? (I goofed when I was talking about this - I'm showing a bobbin from my Singer 301, the one I mention is larger/taller.)
01:36 - Is your bobbin in good shape (or should it be replaced?)
03:03 - Why you shouldn’t overfill plastic bobbins.
03:24 - Touch N Sew bobbins are (literally) made different.
04:13 - Is your bobbin wound evenly?
04:51 - Is your (horizontal) bobbin installed correctly?
06:04 - Is your (vertical) bobbin installed correctly?
07:11 - You can adjust the tension on your bobbin case, but you might not want to! Adjust it with care, if ever.
08:18 - Something to try if you only want to do straight stitching (no zigzag or hem or anything like that) and if your machine has these special feet and needle plates.
13:33 - Special note on Singer Touch N Sew models
14:47 - If you have a snap-on foot on your machine, changing to a straight-stitch foot will be much faster for you! Be sure to check the accessories and attachments that came with your machine for a straight-stitch foot.
