The speaker character is a mind-controlling supervillain who’s gained infamy due to her recent crime spree. The POV character is a superhero. They’re going to meet with the other heroes to discuss what they should all do about her. When they arrive for the meeting, they are surprised to find the speaker waiting for them. She claims that she’s already taken control of every hero in the city, and she explains her plan to spread her influence even further. She also reveals that the POV has actually been under her power for a while now, and they’ve been helping her all along without remembering. She decides to reward them for being so useful. In the process, she admits that she has a confession to make.
