Footage of an historic visit to Cuba by Leonid Brezhnev, the Generel Secretary to the Communist Party of the USSR. He was met on arrival at Jose Martin Airport, Havana by Fidel Castro Ruz, the First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party and Prime Minister.

Breshnev, whose delegation included Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko, was met by Cuban dignitaries including President Osvaldo Dorticos Torrado and Raul Castro Ruz.

There is footage of a speech given by Castro at a large rally during which he spoke about "the love between the Soviet and Cuban people" and "how the Soviet Union seeks peace for the benefit of mankind "; of both Soviet and Soviet Ministers having informal discussions; and a signing ceremony of joint Soviet-Cuban declaration by Castro and Brezhnev "reaffirming the noble goals of the Socialist community".
