Carolyn Murphy ’16 and her father, Joe—a retired New York City Fire Department captain—made this Saturday’s game more than a 30th birthday milestone. Their first-ever Notre Dame tailgate brought together loved ones from across the country, serving as both a joyful gathering and a moving tribute to 9/11. Together, they raised the FDNY flag in honor of first responders’ bravery and sacrifice.
