As part of this week's episode of "this week in social media" , we cover reports that Australia is planning to pass a new law, to make a minimum age for children to use social media.

As reported by BBC, The PM of Australia wants to “I want to see kids off their devices and under the footy fields and the swimming pools and the tennis courts”

He is worried about the “Mental Health consequences” that many young people have had to “deal with” the “Bullying that can occur online” “Which causes Social Harm”

So the question comes, is this to help our child's and help them grow in social skills, and how would it “be enforced” as I personally recall, always trying to work out a way around a rule like this, that has been some talk from the same BBC news video that “facial recognition and age verification software will be tried in this country ahead of any specifics relating to this legislation”

They also added that “That parents are worried sick about what their experiences might be” on social media.

I guess that bring up the question, whose responsibility is it to look after our child on social media

A - the government with laws like this
B - the parents
C - the social media platforms themselves
