This is the first in a series of videos I'm making designed for the true beginner woodworker. This video goes step by step on how to build this bird feeder. Every woodworker at some point made their first project, and I’m confident in saying that the majority of these first projects were built using mostly hand tools. Why am I concentrating on using mostly hand tools in this video? First, hand tools are safer to use than power tools. But let’s put that aside, building any woodworking project is just using a series of woodworking techniques and these techniques are better learned utilizing hand tools then power tools. The first few videos in this “Beginners Guide To Woodworking” will be dedicated to the development of woodworking techniques with the use of hand tools.
