We flew into Leticia, Colombia from Cartagena and the next day did the "3 Country Challenge". Starting from our hostel in Leticia, we walked down to the docks and took a water taxi across the Amazon River to Santa Rosa de Yavari, a small town on a Peruvian Island. We explored a bit, had lunch, and then caught another boat over to Tabatinga, Brazil where we had a few drinks and then walked back over the border to our hostel in Colombia. While in Tabatinga we got wind of a band playing at a club on the Amazon River, so with Polish hostel friend in tow (Paula...?), we walked the 6 blocks back over to Brazil. The club was quite some distance, so we ended up hailing 3 separate moto taxis (once we learned that tuk-tuk taxis weren't allowed in Brazil) and spent the evening listening to live music as we watched the sun set over the Amazon.
