➥ After the war, only the smallest bell of the stately predecessor peal from the Hermann foundry in Memmingen remained.
In 1948, the smallest bell was traded in and in 1949 a completely new peal was cast at the Engelbert Gebhard foundry in Kempten. It is one of the numerically largest complete works of this foundry.
Some time ago, the bells were extraordinarily successfully restored. Careful adjustments have elicited an astonishing sonority from the early Gebhard bells, which are full of character!
Equally full of character is the hour strike, which sounds in a variation of the well-known Westminster strike.
