Here's how the Viola and Violin I picked from the mid range of instruments in Cardiff Violins sound played through a Neumann TLM193 microphone. I'm putting Videos up of many things i've discovered after researching that I have got and believe in. They both retail at around £1200 each. I love them. Bodies are hand built in China and they are finished in Cardiff Violins workshop, thus you get ridiculously good quality for the price and if we were talking sound and playability alone but they were all made in europe but to no better standard, they would cost several times the price in my view. I have since found that the Con Fuoco violin works best with Pirastro Tonica strings that make the tone more sweet rather than the any of the range of super pricey strings i think it had Obligatos but maybe was eva piratzi can't remember on it here as have tried both and i found a big difference when going to Tonicas, and it was a good difference. ..but thats my own personal preference and i'm glad because Tonicas are half the price !
