I had another opportunity to perform some diagnostics and repair. This time, the patient was a Craftsman portable air station. While using it to pump up a somewhat deflated compact spare tire, the unit stopped running and the lights went out. I initially thought I ran it too long and caused it to go into a thermal shutdown. Well, I was wrong. The fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse and restarted the unit only to have the fuse blow instantly.
This video details the steps I took to diagnose the failure and execute a repair. I tried to include some information on how the air station operates, tips for performing the necessary repair, and some common sense tips like using caution when tightening screws into plastic components.
I hope you enjoy my videos and find them informational. I welcome your comments below on how I can improve my videos as well as suggestions for future projects. If you like what you see, please hit the Subscribe button to be alerted when new videos are posted. Thank you!
