In today's video, I want to discuss two things: defending the responsible use of synthetic fertilizer and inform you on the many ways you unknowingly may be supporting Monsanto in your daily life.

Synthetic fertilizers like Miracle Gro plant food have a bad reputation. They're often referred to as chemical fertilizer; a term designed to cause avoidance. But are soluble fertilizer products like Miracle Gro fertilizer really that bad relative to their organic fertilizer competition? Or is there a place for these fertilizers in some gardens when used responsibly?

The Monsanto company is probably the most loathed company in the gardening community. Monsanto has significant control over much of our food supply and are well-known for their genetically modified food (GMO foods) seeds and pesticides. But how well do you know Monsanto? Monsanto merged with Bayer in 2016, and their portfolio of brands is diverse. You may be shocked to find out how many products you're purchasing that support the brand, and we go through their portfolio of brands in this video.
