Dennis Watkins lives in Wanstead.

His father, Frank, enlisted in the army in December 1915 during the First World War and fought at the battle of the Somme in 1916, after which he was captured.

In this short interview with Redbridge Museum in 2014, Dennis talks about his father's wartime experiences.
